First, I have no idea why the font is messed up if you read this whole post. Second, it’s time for a story: When I was in Grade 7, I (for some reason), REALLY, really wanted to go to this Catholic elementary school near my house. I was not Catholic, but somewhere I had read that you need to get baptized to get in. So, I did something extremely weird for a 13 year old: I made my own baptism certificate, complete with the signature of a fake priest (played by me…I think I found the name
of a priest in my area and forged a signature…) Anyways, I printed it out, did the signature, tried to make it look professional (at this point I can only imagine how fake it must have looked), and I waited during August for the school’s office to open so I could go and give that certificate to the secretary and she could say “you’re in.” I rode my bike there one day during the summer, and sure enough, the secretary was there. The conversation I had played out so many times in my head was about to happen. I approached her and told her I wanted to come to the school for eighth grade. She looked at my certificate and she just said, ” I need to speak to your parents.” If my parents were going to get involved in this, they would NO WAY let me fake a baptism and enroll there. So, I rode my bike home and never thought of it again. It was a really unintelligent thing to do. Why in the world did I think she would’ve believed me? I don’t know…but I do know that today’s recipe is something you need to try!
